I tried to duplicate Steve's shot but my version didn't look as good so I had to try another approach. This is my new Good Cook knife with the widest blade I could find, its pretty good for chopping onions :)

I have changed the white balance settings on the camera to enhance the color of the apple. This picture was taken under a flourecent light, so I changed the white balance to "Sunny" to warmify the colors.

After countless days of heat and sunshine, we had our first rain shower this morning.

I have a deadline today, so didn't spent as much time on finding a decent photo-subject as I would have liked to but Hey! it's fun to watch the "surface tension" on a rolling rain drop up close too you know ;-)

It was sitting on the glass door which gave a nice reflection. I used a magnifying glass infront of my camera lens to get close enough to photograph the texture on the insect :)

Icebreakers

Icebreakers liquid ice (small liquid mint, brand name "Icebreakers") on a compact disk. This was a test for how shallow I can get the depth of field to be with a tripod.
