Walking through Chinatown

(Click on the image to see the Complete picture)

Traffic gets stalled quite often in the narrow streets of chinatown. Here's a black & white version of the same photograph

The triangular building is the Wells Fargo building in the Financial district of downtown San Francisco. You can also see the Bay and part of the Bay-bridge at the end of the street.

How many desis does it take ... :)

This was an interesting stunt by the dancers, they were spining intertwined like this. I have combined two photographs together in the above picture. Here's a black & white version of the same photograph.

The Pakistani Student Association (PSA) at San Jose State University (SJSU) organized a cultural event on Saturday April 23rd, 2005.

The name of this young man is Harris and he performed really well that night, his family was sitting right behind me and they were all cheering for him at the top of their lungs :)

Inspired by Jammie's post, this is an old photograph I took at the San Jose Car Art show last year. Beatle was my uncle's first car too and I have some fun memories associated with it :)

SF geometry

(Click on the image to see the Complete picture)

My mother gave me a set of wooden blocks when I was in school, they were geometrical shapes in 3D. I used to spend whole afternoons trying to build a perfect skyline using those blocks, plasticene and some matchsticks.

Standing at the intersection of Powell and California street the memory of those fun moments flashed before my eyes once again :)

There is a row of bare naked trees on one side of California street while lush green on the other. I guess I like the way this couple was running on the barren side of the road, it shows commitment and a fighting spirit.

I am too tired to pick a better title right now, this picture is not as sharp as the other pictures because I found a picture-within-a-picture which was better than the original picture I took. So the camera settings are not what they should have been for this kind of photograph.

A different stroke

I always thought of sky as a big blue canvas with clouds as brush strokes and stars as glitter.
(I used a circular polarizer filter with exposure compensation value -0.5 to get the sky deep blue)

Yahoo!

Yahoo! indeed

Growing up, I realized the fact that there was always one or more person with the name 'Faraz' in every class and every section of my school, college and university. Out of hundreds, thousands or perhaps millions of Faraz running around the face of this planet I never thought that I would land the first position in Yahoo! search results :)

I thank all my friends for their generous support, I love you all!

The seagul was about to land, reminds me of the way aircrafts land, they have their wings stretched back and the landing gear down too :)
